Bear sighting on campus

A bear has once again been spotted on campus, near the lower entrance to Charlie's Trail (by the Boathouse). Please follow signboards and use the buddy system (walk with someone else, not alone) and continue to keep dogs on leash. Here's what to do if you see a bear.

Cougar alert, gardens closed August 4

Bear sighting on campus

A bear has been spotted on campus near Sneq'wa e'lun (Blue Heron House) near the shoreline. For your safety, always walk with a buddy and avoid walking alone. Please continue to keep dogs leashed at all times. Learn more about bear safety tips.

Limited access to formal gardens, January 29 to February 2

Access to the formal gardens surrounding Hatley Castle will be limited due to university activities from January 29 to February 2, 2024.
