Getting to Hatley Park is easy by car whether you are arriving from:
• The BC Ferry terminal
• The airport
• Downtown Victoria
• North Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island MapArriving by car from the BC Ferry terminal (approx 20miles/32kms) • Exit the Ferry Terminal onto Hwy 17 South
• Look for the McKenzie Ave West exist, turn right and travel towards Hwy #1
• At the lights, turn right onto the Trans Canada Hwy 1 N.
• Take exit 10 towards Colwood/Sooke/Port Renfrew
• You will quickly reach a Y-Junction, stay left and follow provincial route 14 West – known as the Old Island Hwy – actually Sooke Road
• Travel straight through a 3-way intersection with a shopping complex on your left, the turn off to Goldstream road on your right.
• At the next set of lights you will see a big black sign on your left that reads “ Royal Roads University, Hatley Park National Historic Site”
• Turn left onto the estate and drive down the hill, the castle will be on your right
• Parking is available in the lot below the castle to park, lot “P3”
Arriving by car from the Victoria Airport
(approx 17 miles/27 kms)
• Exit onto Airport Road and drive until you reach a T-junction
• Turn left onto McTavish
• When you reach Hwy 17 South, turn right
• Look for the McKenzie Ave West exist, turn right and travel towards Hwy #1
• At the lights, turn right onto the Trans Canada Hwy 1 N.
• Take exit 10 towards Colwood/Sooke/Port Renfrew

Arriving by car from downtown Victoria
(approx 8 miles/13 kms)
• Locate Douglas street in Victoria and travel North, this is also HWY #1
• Travel out of Victoria approx
• Take exit 10 towards Colwood/Sooke/Port Renfrew
• You will quickly reach a Y-Junction, stay left and follow provincial route 14 West – known as the Old Island Hwy – actually Sooke Road
• Travel straight through a 3-way intersection with a shopping complex on your left, the turn off to Goldstream road on your right.

Arriving by car from North Vancouver Island • Travel south on HWY 1 South towards Victoria (passing through Nanaimo, Duncan)
• Travel over the Malahat (watch for exquisite views and be careful of road conditions)
• As you approach the greater Victoria area, look for Exit 14
• Turn right at Exit 14 onto Millstream Road/Veterans Memorial Parkway
• Look for Goldstream Avenue, provincial route 14 and turn left (the West Shore visitors information centre is on this corner)
• Travel to the end of Goldstream until to ready Sooke Road
• Turn right onto Sooke Road
• At the first set of lights you will see a big black sign on your left that reads “ Royal Roads University, Hatley Park National Historic Site”
• Turn left onto the estate and drive down the hill, the castle will be on your right
• Parking is available in the lot below the castle to park, lot “P3
