Ancient forests, Edwardian gardens, and a castle by the sea …

We invite the world to come and experience Hatley Park National Historic Site!

Hatley Park is Canada’s largest and most diverse national historic site. This authentic, and beautifully preserved Edwardian estate is nestled on the southern tip of Vancouver Island just 25 minutes from downtown Victoria. At the centre is a magnificent castle, built in 1908 by former British Columbia Premier and coal baron, James Dunsmuir.

This 565-acre property encompasses all the diversity and natural splendour of British Columbia’s West Coast, including old growth forest, peaceful nature trails, lush heritage gardens, a rare eco-system and bird sanctuary, plus a spectacular view of the Olympic Mountains.
